Monocle Lake is located along the famous Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway featuring breathtaking views of Lake Superior's south shoreline. The campground is located half way between the city of Sault Ste. Marie and Tahquamenon Falls State Park.This lake is a 172-acre lake that offers walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass and perch fishing. A two-mile interpretive trail is available for the hiking enthusiast. The first 1,000 feet has a hardened accessable surface which leads to an elevated boardwalk wih a wildlife viewing platform.
