Description Map

Dwarfed by the red and white pines reminiscent of the turn-of-the-century Upper Peninsula forests, this small campground us situated high about the Congressionally-designend Indian Wild and Scenic River. A small day use area with grills and picnic tables also serves as the parking area for canoeists or kayakers. A set of stairs leads down the steep bluff to the river's edge. Both brook trout and brown trout can be found in this section of the river. Only a handful of campsites ensure a quiet stay, in spite of the campgound's close proximity to Highway M 94.
