Beaver Basin Wilderness is located in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is a 11,740-acre area that offers 13 miles of stunning Lake Superior shoreline.

Individual and small group recreation is available along 8.4 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail and 8.5 miles of connector trails as well as 6 backcountry campsites.

There are three lakes located here:Beaver Lake - 762 acres. Trappers Lake - 45 acres. Legion Lake - 35 acres.

There are five cold water streams located here: Lowney Creek, Arsenault Creek, Sevenmile Creek, Little Beaver Creek, and Beaver Creek.

Electric motors are permitted on Little Beaver and Beaver Lakes. Motor boats on Lake Superior are free to beach along the waterfront adjacent to the wilderness area.
